Be a few months until we are over the hump and into fall here. I sure am looking forward to it. Until then I think I am going nocturnal when time permits
repaired her a few times over the years , her rod tip guide has been replaced around 4 times , her sister broke at the bottom of the guide above the joint due to my using it to push it together and it became lose side to side at that junction and it ended up scoring the rod blank and failing right there .
she started to due that as well and I epoxied her at that guide , her rod emblem on the butt plate is long gone too.
being she was "big" fish stick in my crappie travels ,she and her twin sister went on quite a few safaris
one thing for certain though without exaggeration ,she has slung way more crappie in ten years than you can possibly imagine
and in the end only one prototype survives and she a 7 ft. one pc. and made to sling whales as well .
hold your breath , I need her for the fall run ,just saying

it seems the more I like them the less likely they will survive me , those particular sticks were actually prototypes given to me with the express instructions that I treat them as I would a real cheap rod and "try" to break them .
besides the design of them we came up with to my specifications , durability was of key importance to him before they went into production .
hear tell the new versions are not near as tough as those ,but to this day it isn't me to drop over a 100 on a rod ,heck over 50 makes me cringe ,as i know the life time of a rod in my hands is most often rather minimal if get to liking it to much,
that one and the 6 foot tica both went south this year and both were on my these will hurt crappie to the max list ,

you know i just gave it a count and I think that's 4 rods done this year so far , a lews , a bonehead , a shakespeare , and a tica .
and i think 3 or 4 reels too , hard on equipment is me , i don't play so nice and friendly like when it becomes me against the fish .
put the shimano on a vendetta and off to the races she goes , i know she wont take my abuse long , but she was on clearance and so was the shimano and in the end , if it cant take a bone breaking hook set and reel and cast like a champ , it needs to go to the landfill
