Most of the time any animal , bird or whatever causes a problem when brought here , the ringneck pheasant seems to be a plus but there are many more problems.
Not sure if I posted these before or not , but we have lots of exotics that free range in Texas.
About 30 minutes down the road from our place I saw a small herd of blackbuck antelope wandering around inside of a regular old barbed wire cattle pasture a few years ago.
The dominant bucks are really pretty animals , the one we saw was a young one .
The does drop fawns twice a year and the bucks get stupid when they are in heat and often hurt each other seriously .

nutria are ok as big water rats go , why would you say that
common carp are not so bad according to some that eat them
Europe starlings are nice white spot birds
English sparrows keep the fast food parking lots clean
what gets better air over nothing than an asian big head carp
and why would 15 ft long pythons be a problem i wonder
snake heads fight real well too , just saying
fire ants need love too ...
of course we must not forget the lionfish as well
in the end though the tiger mosquito is one of my favorites , with its helicopter size and big ole nasty hurts right now bite and leaves a whelp like a ball bat strike it runs second to none on the invasion
and the list goes on and on dont ya know
the local coyotes have fun with them some
but they tend to run smaller than a small deer ,so meat isnt an abundant factor
and i never tried to eat one , they may not taste good ?
not sure , i do know my buds take good care of the Axis deer herds far south of there

collars might or might not protect an animal in the wild , years ago i followed a hand raised buck story and when he got a real nice rack on his head someone shot him with a collar on him too ....

Shooting collared, and likely domesticated game, is like shooting turkeys under a bird feeder. No fair chase involved. Just bloodlust.
