If you get paid by fishing for crappie then you are a Pro. Being a Pro does not mean you are a better fisherman, it just means you have convinced somebody to support you. I think the IRS point makes that point.
I feel that judgement is to be made by my peers. Just cuz you get paid just means you know how to work the business, referring to tourney fishermen. Now someone is going to get offended by that and I mean no animosity. M R Dux I consider to be a professional for many reasons, and I don’t think I have to explain. The way he handles things are proof positive.

I believe it would take something I enjoy doing and turn ot into a job. And just as with any job your employer expects results. That in itself would take most of the fun out of it. The fact that some have felt the need to cheat to win proves how much pressure someone would be under to get results consistently
