Thread: Covid vaccine

I got my first dose of the Moderna vaccine on 3/17 and I had headaches, body aches, chills and fatigue for about 24 hours. I’m scheduled to get the second dose on 4/13 and after the side effects of the first dose.
I’ll gladly still get the second dose because I’m looking forward to getting back to normal ASAP.

I have a friend who got the J+J vaccine recently and she had a lot of side effects from it too. I’m glad she had the J+J vaccine which is single dose because I doubt she wouldn’t have taken a second dose of it.

Sorry to hear that, Randy. Most of the reports on Moderna around here have been pretty good, but everyone can react differently. Young schoolteacher next door got the J&J last week anD had a crappy 24 hours. That said, take the first one you can get. I get my second Pfizer next week.

I did not. When my fever hit 102 I called my doctor. He said it was entirely possible I that I had COVID and was asymptotic over the past year as he said folks who had COVID would have strong reactions after the 2nd dose. All is well now but I have to tell you I hurt all over. My fever broke at 3:00am. I had sweat so much had to change my clothes and bed linens. Time to do some serious fishing now.

Second Pfizer jab received yesterday ... same effects as 1st jab, a sore arm at injection site, so far.

Trying to find J/J SHOT but none found .

Got my 2nd Moderna shot Wednesday. Had sore arm at injection site Thursday for about 4 hrs. Cleared up and no further after-effects.
We now may be able to go out and celebrate our wedding anniversary next Thursday.
