I need to start pouring jigs as I’ve got plenty of lead and several hundred round balls already poured for my muzzle loader.

I built a fluid bed as well but you don’t really need it to powder coat small crappie jigs. I just heat head up with candle or small torch and dip them in powder coat. Just have you a small pin to remove paint from jig eye. I only utilize fluid bed when coating jig heads bigger than 1/8.
I do a lot of 2-tone heads, like black w/orange belly, shad gray w/chart belly, blue/white, chart/white, and I get much cleaner results, and more even coats, using a fluid bed. They are so cheap, using PVC fittings, that I just make one for each color and store the powder in it's own "cup".

Amen, on cleaning out the eyes first! I believe colored heads do make a difference.
Chartreuse and chartreuse and a small fix of the other colors. Actually when fishing Sinclair I prefer white heads. Go figure!
