Biofisher and I wanted to catch a few nice gills for the dinner table today and mission accomplished. We landed 29 or 30 gills between 8-9.25”. We kept a bunch of little ones for catfish bait for Gary. I kept 12 for the dinner table and Gary took all the remaining fish.
Catawba worms did the fish in as they are suckers for worms. A lot of fun. I wish that I had frozen more than I did because I’m almost out. Enough left for one more trip. I guess that I’ll have to go with night crawlers in January and February. Grin.

WOW! those look to be nice fish. Around here they call those worms Catalpa worms . Killer bluegill and catfish bait. We have the trees but for some reason no longer get the worms.
The big red worms I get at a local bait shop work almost as good. Wallmart sells the big red worms and call them trout worms.
No matter how you say it great success! Thanks for the pics!
