I would suggest the BnM TCB rod. Very light and sensitive rod and can cast those smaller jigs with ease. Lots of good reviews
What would you folks suggest as far as a rod for throwing small 1/32 or 1/16th jigs from the shore. Right now i am using a 9 foot bps crappie rod, its older and the rod itself seems like it gets heavy after a while. I am also using 2 lb test and after breaking a few off today i realized i need to go back to 4 lb test but i think i will lose some distance if i do. I am normally a g loomis man but not sure what to look for, even a st croix would be fine.
You’ll get tons of recommendations on this but I would ask what is your budget...what length do you prefer.......how important is sensitivity to you? I tried casting years ago using 9 foot rods but to me for cast and retrieve it is just to heavy. I have an 8’ 3” rod and it only weighs 2.5 ounces but I find that rod even too heavy and unwieldy for casting.

I to recommend the BnM TCB rod if you are wanting a smaller rod.
on rod action look for "ultra-lite" in whatever length you want. Can get them short and long
The TCB is a great rod for the money. If you’re wanting to spend the money you’ve quoted I suggest you pose this question over on the Panfish forum under “All things ultralight”. Several folks there have this rod. DIGITAKA! - Japan Fishing Tackle Store
This rod is well under your budget and is a great rod. All Fuji components. It is $150 delivered to your door out of Japan. You won’t find a rod of this caliber here near the price. But don’t take my word....as I said several over in Panfish forum own this rod and give it stellar reviews. If you check out my YouTube channel you can find reviews of the TCB rod and a lot of Japanese rods in your price range.

If you like Loomis, their TSR rods are excellent. I have the TSR 790, which I think works great for 1/32 oz jigs.

JDM rods are another option. Here's the link to the Ultralight forum Alphahawk mentioned above:

Wow i never even noticed that forum, completely missed it. I was looking at that TSR 790, might actually get that. Thanks guys for all the input and definately for that forum that I completly missed, it actually answers some questions that I had next about line
I would also recommend the TCB Leland Rod. It is light as a feather and super sensitive. Pair that with a Pfluger President 20 and your in business. Both for less than 150.
