Congrats on what sounds like a fun day.
I fished Cataco again today, Crappie were biting pretty good from 9AM till around noon, but then shut down. Caught and released around a hundred Crappie, all but 15 or 20 were short. Every laydown should have a 10 inch Crappie next year with all the little ones swimming around.
Fish were caught single pole jigging 6 feet deep on laydowns with a 1/32oz White marabou jig. The water had dropped about 18 inches, clear with visibility of about 24 inches and 51 degrees when I started, it had warmed to 55 by 3PM. All fish released for another day.
Congrats on what sounds like a fun day.

The upper end of Limestone has 10 or 20 short fish for everyone that measures. I haven't been to Indian Creek yet this fall, but expect the same. Ditto was also covered up with little bitty ones in late summer. With all the baitfish they'll grow quick, spring is going to be unbelievable if the weather cooperates!

Sounds like a fun day on the water DB, thanks for the report. This rain should help move the fish and make them a little less spooky.
Temperature is right, there just been a lot more water than past years. Good to see the lake falling finally. May be a little while longer on Cotaco and Indian Creek until they reduced flow in the river some.
