Looks really nice !
Tied this 1/80oz and #14 this afternoon. Will fish it under a weighted fixed float that I modify with additional weight to get almost neutral buoyancy. The float itself weighs 1/8oz and can be cast a mile.

Very good!
For fishing from shore, you cant beat using weighted floats for casting distance.
Tom, it would be nice, if you could show how to modify the float. Nice jigs and float idea.

Float. For jig
Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men
For jigs weighing 1/64oz and lighter I use a weighted fixed float to cast it. I modify the float so that that it is very easily submerged by the fish. 1/64, 1/80 and 1/100oz jigs are easily fished at distances that they Can't be effectively cast to. This workes for water depths of about 6' and less. This technique also gives me total control of retrieve from dead still which is very effective at times on up. I also use it to fish heavier jigs with a slow retrieve over brush piles and stakes. Couldn't tell you how many crappie and gills I have caught using this. If my target fish are in 6' or less of water I got their number. Sent from my SM-G960U using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app

How are you modifying the float and how to you get the lead rings by themselves?
