Fished 4 hours this morning, only caught 5 crappie. Three were between 10-11 inches, one was 14 1/4 and one was 15 inches. Fished six piles under the bridge, all were loaded with fish but they just would not bite. Yes, SK, I changed colors and jig sizes, from 1/64 to 1/8, plastic and hand ties. I changed presentation from fast jig, slow jig, no jig, slow drop from above, slow rise from below, swam the bait and toss out with drop back.

Darn crappie would just move out of the way when the jig approached them. Wind and waves finally forced me to quit at noon. But tomorrow is another day, if I don't go back out tonight and fish under the lights.

Don't know why none of the small ones would bite but I am not complaining about the two big ones.

Because they weren't bluegill or crappie tacos! I'm spoiled by your tacos.

The heat while cooking doesn't bother me one bit since you do the cooking. And I do appreciate you cleaning those slabs for me to take home to eat.

Yup, it's very frustrating to see all of them swimming down there and be unable to get one of them to take your jig. Makes you want to break out the cast net or break your rod in two.
