What is your setup with the worm? What hook, bobber, etc?

I just hook the wiggler on a plain jig head (1.5 g Tict SS, or a 1/32 with #6 hook), nothing else. I get almost no gut-hooking that way, as opposed to using a plain hook and split shot. I prefer using the jig head since I release most of the fish I catch. I can also switch to a plastic quickly.

Thanks for telling your experiences Jawjetek. You kind of proved a theory I have had for 70 years.
Scent trumps plastic/feathers when fish are in neutral or negative mood. A bare unpainted jig with a fourth of a nightcrawler is pretty tough competition for our dressed jigs.

Good trips and some nice fish. Brother and his boys live in Loganville and we talk of electric boats sometimes, they sound like great fun. The battery man would know me well. Terrova 12v on the front but I want two 80lb transom mounts on the back of a 16’ Jon.
