I use 1/32oz & 1/16oz weedless jigheads ... both of which have a #2 Aberdeen hook. I don't normally lose that many jigs in a dozen or more trips. My jigheads are custom made by Grousefly and are the fiber brush style & the Y guard style :
Guys,
I am new to the "lite wire" equipment and am curious what everyone prefers?
At this rate, I am at about 8 jigs per fish boated
Thank you in advance
Where can you get them? Thanks.
There is a way to rig a Baby Shad plastic weedless up on a jig that works pretty well.

I’m a combo, what BarryG said I use braid.
Pappy says brush guard, and that’s what I use everyday.

Thank you all for the responses!
Do you guys notice any difference in strike vs hookup % using the brushguards? I tried them several years ago and seemed like my hookup rate went down. May have been in my head though.
I hadn't considered going with braid. Is there such an animal as high-viz braid?
Yes!
Bend the point downward just slightly, sort of like making your own sickle.
