Same here on a slow day, we were at Enid.
My brother in law wanted to crappie fish with me today, but he lives in Cumberland county, about an hour and a half from me, and with the rain early, he waited until after 9 am to show up. But we made it out and started our search.
I’m good at finding fish. We found lots of fish. But we couldn’t get them to bite. We changed lures a couple of times and finally went to a Bobby Garland Itty Bitty slab slayer before we caught our first fish. But we only had marginal success with them. Later in the afternoon, I finally hit the color that they wanted today and caught over 1/2 of our 9 keepers in short order. The color that has been so hot for me this past week, they just turned their noses at. Grin.
I need to read my story on single pole crappie fishing again, I guess. Lolol. I needed to be retrained. It got hot, but we stayed hydrated by drinking water. Water temp today was 79.9 and current flow was 32,000 cfs.
Leon didn’t take but one pic today. He is wanted. He escaped a list of honey dos today and was getting numerous phone calls. I got 3 scammer calls before I turned my phone off. I’m going to rest this weekend.
Take that break, and rest up DK. Lord know's you need it. You wear me out just from the number of trips you put in each week.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6drumking thanked you for this post
