Guess they left to get another roll of tape.
Watched 2 guys bring a late 70's model trihull and back onto the ramp. They fuss around with the center V of the hull for about 15 minutes and then launch. They powered the boat with a transom mount trolling motor. I noticed they had left some trash on the ranp and walked over to pick it up. This is what I found
About an hour later they come back low in the water. Took them 45 minutes to get it back on the trailer. I watched it drain water for 15 minutes. When they drove off it was still shooting water out of the drain hole.

I thought the tilt trailer was going to collapse in the middle.

Think they would have stayed a little closer to ramp initially
Didn't make much sense to me

Wait a minute, the commercial I saw said you could cut the bottom out and tape it up.

I think they should have spent the money on fiberglass

They must not have had the 3' wide tape in the commercial.
