I've had success with them especially if I use a nibble between the splits as it gives good action with it
I read and read how great a lure it is. I try them ever time I go fishing with the same results nothing. I’ve tried slow retrieving and twitching nothing what am I missing?

Don’t know what to say. This is one of the deadliest baits I have ever used. On my stream I do a countdown and then a slow twitching retrieve. I am using a TSS UL which is pretty sensitive and I can feel the taps. Don’t give up on it - they work.

The trout magnet is a jig. The keys to jig fishing are depth and speed. If you’re not catching, one or both of those are off.

I just started using them last year, but so far every time I've used them I've caught fish. Big bream, little bream, and largemouth bass up to 3 lbs. I can usually say that about any small jig and have been quite impressed with the bison color. I've had select days in the past where I couldn't catch fish on a small jig, but they've been few and far between - usually will catch something. There are days when fishing a still bait like crickets and wax worms work better though.
If Gill fishing with live bait-worms, then try tipping TM with a morsel of worm. This will drive them crazy, as will a piece of mealworm on the TM. If wax worms are available, do the same. Once you find the combination of live baits and TM that work, then use the Berkeley Gulp or Alive products as a substitute for the live tip offerings. It will become a confidence thing. Fish are not smart, they must eat, they will bite the TM, the fun part is figuring out when where and what, that’s why it’s called fishing!

Trout Magnet and Crappie Magnet are my go to jigs. I often tip the trout Magnet with a wax worm for bluegills and shellcrackers and always tip the crappie magnets with crappie nibbles. I often catch the bigger gills on the crappie magnets. I fish the TM under a float most of the time or bounce it off the bottom. I have a lot of confidence in the Leland baits. I have recently been fishing the Bobby Garland mini slab slayers which are 1.25” and have been having great success on the big gills.

Crappie Magnets catch everything in most colors !
Including this 3 lb sucker
When fish are easy to coerce into striking, I can't beat a 1/24 or 1/16 oz unpainted ball head jig (Ebay). Of course 6# test / 2lb diameter braid is essential cast using a 6' light action rod helps with casting distance and rod tip action on slow unsteady slow retrieves with pauses and twitches.
