I use Flicker Shads in 4s, 5s, 6s, & 7s. Sometimes they can be found for great prices at year end clearance.
Sometimes after a cold front the #4s are the only size that gets bit.

Don’t forget Rebel Lures. Crawfish, grass hoppers, etc all work great. I haven’t had a dud yet - some work better on different days as to be expected.

Different cranks have different actions as the square bill cranks will have a more erratic wobble will run center then kick out to the side a little. Where standard bills will just run on track if properly tuned right. Shorter round bill slender cranks will usually give more of a roll action. The biggest thing with crankbaits is take the time to get them tuned to run true and straight.
For those who use this push/pull method of running cranks, do these tactics work in predominantly black crappie areas or is this more contained to white crappie lakes? Wondering if this is worth the effort or not.
We like em after the Spawn they crappie, blackes ,Whites suspend in the tree tops.
Can't beat PICOS all colors work..Fish one color one day switch colors the next keep on ketching..

I fish lakes with both white and black crappie. For me, the majority of crappie I will catch on cranks are whites. There will be days that we catch some blacks. I do think this has to do with the depth of water we are pulling in most of the time.
Well, in the first place, I’ve never paid 6$ for a bandit. If you shop hard enough you can find them a lot cheaper.
