I’ve been using. Store brand from BPS for a long time. Big spools that don’t break the bank. I’ve used it from 4 to 10lb test with good results. The name is Offshore Angler Tight Lines in hi vis.
I have been using my stock up of Cabelas proline for about 6 years and I am running out. Since it has been discontinued, I need a new line that is equivelant to it. I trout fish a lot so distance is important sometimes and my lakes don't have deep drop offs close in so I styill have to cast a good ways to hit most crappie and panfish hotspots. I slack line for trout and some panfish so I can see the bite so that is gonna be important also. The camo in the Crappie Maxx says it is easily seen above water.
Is the Crappie maxx gonna fit the bill or should I be looking at something else? 4# and 6# test are all I use for all my lake fishing. 1/8 to 3/8 sinker. This is for bait/bottom fishing, I use braid for my float pole and lure rod.

I just got a spool of the Off Shore Angler Tight Lines 4 lb test to try. Have it spooled up ready to go but not had time to use it due to cleanup from a storm that passed through our area. One thing I noticed while spooling it up is it is pretty tough line. Hope to get to try it soon. Thanks to Skeetbum for mentioning it.

I use Mr. Crappie or Stren Crappie and if spooled on reel correctly really like both, cast really good with 4# test.

Fish_4_any....I love the crappie max. But like the hi-vis yellow best. I tried the camo and honestly was tough to see it. The fish don't seem to mind the yellow line. Plus it's 3000 yrds. for like $10.00!
My reels spooled up with Stren hi-vis, Vicious hi-vis, Mr Crappie hi-vis. 4 6 and 8 lb test, I like them all - no problems - cheap - its personal preference - many different opinions - try them and see what you like.

I have trouble seeing the crappie maxx camo, much prefer the hi vis color.
X 2 on the K-9 . It's flouro and has smallest diameter of American Lines . Gamma high vis is another good choice and has the highest break strength to diameter of any of the high vis lines . Spend a couple more dollars on a good quality line and you'll be glad in the long run. Both the K-) and Gamma can be bought in bulk spools that won't break the bank. Scott
I’ve been thinking about switching from the mr.crappie to try something else. I haven’t heard anyone mention slime line yet. Is it worth trying? I see a lot about it in various YouTube videos
