Since there's not many reports I figure fishing is not good or people are staying home. Latest on Kaw isn't good. Website shows 1016.69 yesterday at noon and hasn't been updated since. The current elevation is 1018.37 and rising so we are over 8 ft above normal and climbing. Projected crest is 1023.00. Coon Creek will probably close by Friday with water in the parking lot. Lots of debris and trash coming down the north end. As for a fishing report, crappie are slow and catfish are good in the flooded grass and trees. Water temp is 53 to 55. Lake is muddy to murky. Look's like the floods will come early this year. All gates are currently closed. Hope everyone stays safe and healthy.

I usually don't have much to post about but I figure any little bit may be able to help someone.
Had a rough morning. Got tossed around by the wind. Watched some fellas with livescope catch 6 in front of me while I couldn't get a bite on minnows. Fish seemed scattered. Finally resorted to pushing minnows up and down the bridge banks. About 4:15 something magical happened and the crappie returned to the structure. Caught fish solidly for about 90 mins. Most were around 18 feet of water about 10-12 feet down with minnows.
Way to stick with it! Thanks for the report.
