I run 1/2 oz. Sinker , 1/32 jig.
Anybody use the 14 ft. to spider rig ? If so what weight do you prefer under I deal conditions using straight minnows ?
Not really going to spider rig with these but sit on brush tops with one minnow rig . Figure at some point though I might . Was not sure the tip could go more than a 3/8 with two minnows .
I used 8 14’ bgjp’s for 5-6 years. Started out using 3/8 oz but moved to 1/2 oz. I like the tip bow better for the 1/2 oz. I’m a spider rigging double minnow rig guy!

I have used the 14's for many years to spider rig. I use 1/2 oz. sinker and a 1/16th. jig head on the bottom with a minnow hook on top. Works great!
I used them for 2 years before I went to 16s they are amazing rods and I still have a pair for pulling cranks. 1/2 always seemed to work best for me. But I have pushed cranks with a 2 oz weight. Great rods!!
