Well said Harold, good to see you back.
Well said Doug:
Sometimes its better to go to the a persons file and ask a question - rather than read all the responses -
Some of the group has been around for years & years and they learned the hard way - trial & error
The best honest way to learn is record everything you can think of while on the water - put it on paper
next time out your record more data -
The more you fish, fish, fish the more you learn - short cuts are when someone else tells you -
NO harm met -- the more you fish an area the more you learn about it - than questions & answers make sense
Well said Harold, good to see you back.

i lIve on the backside of lake beauclaire. on 448 coming here, is a huge pasture ground with nice cattle roaming. My step father a retired farmer from the north would say when he came in the door, fishing poles in hand, the barometer is dropping its gonna be great. the other thing he would say THE COWS ARE LYING DOWN, FISH WILL BE BITING, (BAROMIC PRESSURE) most all the time he was right. i do watch the baromic pressure. u will see it on the front page of my phone.my boat rarely left the dock without him. he and my mom had always fished in fact my entire background on my moms side were fisherman

My home speck fishing area is a tidal creek off of the St. Johns river in the northern part not far from Jacksonville. I mostly long line and have found the major and minor feed times to be accurate about 75% of the time especially for bigger specks. If I can find a day with a major feed time in the morning and the tide steady flowing in or out I know it's going to be a great morning.
