Hi everyone, I'm a fellow crappie fisherman from north louisiana. I'm taking a trip the end of march to the broken bow/mountain fork area and I'm bringing my boat. Me and the lady are going to try to catch some trout, smallies and maybe some walleye. Can any of you guys give me some advice as to what baits or lures to use, what to expect or whatever? Thank yall so much.

For crappie at that time, try any small cut or cove up in the river. Look for shallow grassy flats and cuts in Linson and Holly Creek. Fish for walleye around the rocky islands, early, late, or cloudy days. You can catch spotted bass until you get tired of catching them.

The lower end by the dam is a different animal for spawning crappie. I have caught them off the nest in 13 ft of water. I could see the crappie beds that deep. It's a neat place. Hope you have a good trip.

The trout are not in the lake, but are below the spillway and dam areas. They are easy to catch.
