Well written post with allot of great information. I'm pretty much sharing your same conditions and conclusions here in VS with the fish and Livescope.

Roughriverrick, hard to tell what we are supposed to be seeing from your picture. Looks like a tree with no fish.

For those of us without livescope I sure do appreciate those reporting what they see and find by using it. Helps us to learn as well. Thank you!!

That's just it Roy. I don't know for sure what it is, I think its a tree but the picture looks all pixelated and blurry. Its the first time I had anything look like that. I tried adjusting it out but couldn't. The only thing I could come up with is that it was shallow?

Might get a better picture if you cleaned all the fingerprints off the screen, first. (jus' sayin')

It is structure and possibly some fish on it.
Did you try to turn the gain down?
Adjusting gain and looking at different angles of transducer to structures gives you better results of just what is there.
I run 2 garmin units with LS and GT 52 transducer on same pole and DI shows excellent details of fish and structures while LS lets you see fish responses to whatever bait and techniques you use.
Try adjusting gain and moving to different location and look at same structure again.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Thanks for the advise, I did try adjusting, gain, color gain, TVg and noise filter. I didn't a different angle. I will be back there soon and I will try that if I have the same issue. One thing I didn't mention was that the water was pretty muddy.
