You and that dang white marabou again. Did you up or down from Sharp's.

I fished Cotaco Creek from 7:30AM till about 2PM. I had a limit by 11:00 and caught half that many again that would have kept. Returned 5 that were over 14 inches and 2 or 3 dozen short fish. Best bait was a 1/16oz White Marabou jig fished single pole on laydowns. Most of the fish came from 8 to 10 feet of water and were a couple feet off the bottom. The water was 50 degrees and clear with visibility of about 18 inches.

Nice looking mess of fish
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Up from Sharps, all were 6 to 8 feet deep. Solid thumps! When I cleaned them they were all full of shad.

Awesome day, congrats. Water was 50 degrees?
Yep, water was 50, but that's surface. By the way, I lost a couple dozen jigs yesterday. The nice thing about buying Marabou jigs by the dozen. You don't worry about dropping one into the middle of a tree. You lose a lots of jigs, but you sometimes access fish that others don't.

Nice job, glad to see someone catching them. I went out in my boat this morning with an old fishin partner and we had a rough day fishing for green carp. The wind was up and the current was moving out on Wheeler and we did not seem to be able to put them in the boat. We had alot of bites but very few fish to show for it. Main river channel water temp around Ditto was 59.

Reason I asked is because I haven’t seen any water below 59 degrees even on the surface yet
Are you “dipping” those jigs down into the trees or casting and reeling them?
Yep, probably why the fish were so deep. It was 34 degrees on the way out to Cotaco Sunday morning. The first few laydowns I did my typical of starting shallow on the bank end of the tree and working deeper. Once I found them in 6 to 8 feet I turned off my fishfinder and just started working trees and watching my line.
