it has a bit of a twist these days. when it comes to fishing sites, you need to be way more cautious. there are others out there that would not be as conservative as you. don't post lake names and locations. your local fish hog could be watching!
say what you will. yank it out of view. delete it if you cant tolerate my opinions. it wont change the fact that not all is good in these domains. they can do as much harm as good.

No-one ever needs to post their location or honey hole. Never have, never will. But sharing technique, depths, colors....etc...has always been encouraged. Let folks learn from others, that's how we all pretty much learned everything we know. And please realize, word gets out about hot locations in many different ways. I would not just warn folks about what they post, one word to your neighbor or at the bait shop can also cause a flood. But as always, they still have to have the skill to catch the fish.

I have fished Ky lake 70 years. I still don't know where all the good luck spots are. I share stuff. I don't need a boat load of fish, I just need to see the smile on my wife's face.

At Sardis it seems like you are rarely fishing by yourself unless you go to a spot with undesirable conditions such as wind. It doesn’t matter too much what’s posted on here, if you’re catching fish people will find you on the lake and a hot spot can go cold pretty quick in a day or so with the way the water level changes. That said, posts on social media might make the lake and ramps a little more crowded.

I am all about helping out fellow fishermen just as I was helped. Never hurts to pay it forward.

You guys give out all your spots and you will break my bank buying all the those paper lake maps and various map cards to mark your spots.

Found this spot and word got out on the net. Just kidding. This is one of the most popular spots in Erie Pa for steelheads. It gets worse as the season progresses. Not my kind of fishing.
