Yummy....cedar plank!
LOL- I love cedar boards soaked with fish-NOT!
Silver carp and whit emur (grass carp) are very good eating. I was raised in North Central Missouri. If you go to a fish fry there you will probably eat german carp netted out of local rivers and creeks. You will be hard pressed to tell it from catfish. They run the fillets through a meat tenderizer to cut all the tiny bones. When they hit the grease the bones disintegrate.
GREENFISH LIKED above post
The mind is a powerful thing and enables us to find new solutions to problems, but once set it can hinder us from discovering new things. Happens to me too often fishing. As for the carp, I have only had it the one time and not knowing it to be carp I thought it was salmon patties. My mind didn’t have enough information to tell me I shouldn’t like it. But my other senses told me it was pretty darned good.
I had AC tonight for supper. Had AC last night for supper. Tonight I marinaded some fillets in a recipe primarily used to grill salmon but it turned out well with my AC. I marinaded the fillets for an
around an hour. But in a baking tray in my air fryer. Baked at 360 for 13-15 minutes. Drizzled the marinade over the fillets in the pan before I started cooking. I baked some AC last night using bread crumbs as a batter, added some Parmesan cheese and a little thyme. After putting fillets in tray I poured 1/4 stick
of melted butter over the fillets and cooked at 360 for 13 minutes. Of course you can always deep fry them. A local
Super market IGA here in Paris,TN is selling 2 lb bags and 5 lb bags of frozen boneless AC for $5.99 a lb.
I have heard it is good eating.
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
It’s great honestly. Just bread and fry normal. I don’t know how to clean them though. IGA in Paris TN sells fillets.
