Very nice, Indeed!
This was our first time to the lake as it is 2 1/2 hours East. I had a spot picked out before arriving and the local baitshop confirmed my plan. Arrived at the spot around 7pm and had the first crappie in the boat within the first few minutes. Setup with anchors, spotlock on, crappie fishing lights and all. Then the mayhem, there are a ton of 12-13" white bass and small wiper, which made for a busy night. We had live bait, but the white bass swollowing hooks became an issue. Switched to single pole jigging 1/8 oz glow in the dark roadrunner jigs with sliders plastics with chart tail woth bare hook. The white bass still hit hard but solved them swollowing hooks and actually found the crappie preferred this just as much and eliminated some competition for the the minnows, equated to more crappie caught. We also caught some very respectable wiper, including the 24" in the pic, which was released. All the crappie were 10-11 1/2" so ended up keeping just a few of the 30-40 plus we caught. Caught well over 50 white bass, numerous wiper, one walleye and even a drum and catfish. Was a multi species night.
Sounds like y'all had a great night catching. The video was awesome too.
Congrats fellas.
