I have removed the bend in several bass rods by applying a small amount of heat very carefully to the area of the bend and slowly flexing the rod back straight. Was able to get the bend out and did not seem to affect the action.. I used a small propane torch and was very careful to apply only minimal heat so as not to damage rod finish. A industrial type heat gun may work also and not have the risk of open flame. Key is to store them straight when not in use. I have only tried this on fiberglass or F/g composite rods!!!
