Why would a person run the square bill vs running the pico perch? Or vice versa?

My guess would be : different wiggle, sound, shape, and/or color schemes.

It's a better bait to run in shallow water that has cover in it....the bait runs more head down with the body blocking the hooks somewhat....and when the square bill hits cover....grass...stumps...brush ...or limbs .... most of the time it will deflect the bait and help prevent getting hung up.

These square bill baits only have a knocker in them , so they sound a little different. The perch will sink too, whereas the sq Bill's float. Highly buoyant.

Ordered my PICO square bills on Wed morning, chose the free shipping, they’ll be on my porch in a couple of hours. Great product and great service. Thanks... just a side note.

Have the square bills been shipped out to bait shops yet or are they still only available through online purchase? Wondering if Fast Eddie's near Benton KY has them yet.

They are aware they are in the catalog and available. I've done everything but buy them myself and stock the shelves.

Sportsman's Marina has them on the way.

    Got my huge order today.

M R Dux, What rods do you use? Seems like a 4-5 oz weight will require a rod with a LOT of backbone. Thanks!
