So Ray did or do they know how they got here?

It's a Seminole Killifish. According to my friend it is an invasive species. Florida bass fishermen used them as bait and they got released in our waters. According to her they are in our rivers and waterways now.

Last day of fishing. Charlie went back this morning so I fished with Henry and we managed a few for the pot.
Forgot to mention that I saw Tim (Inkdabber) out fishing and we stopped and chatted for a while. Hadn't seen him in a while so it as neat to catch up on things with him.
Henry's neighbor Jeff always joins us if he is here so we had him and 2 of his college buddies as part of our crowd. They cat fished both days. Yesterday they had several nice cats from 4 to 8 lbs and 2 slot stripers which Charlie and I cleaned. Charlie keep them for a stew we will do later at his cabin.
We fried fish for dinner tonight and everyone was stuffed.
Another great trip to my favorite lake. Someone asked why I drive 60 miles to Santee when Murray is so close. "Do you always catch fish there" they asked ?
" No" I replied, "but if you don't catch fish I can't think of a better place to do it."

It was pleasure seeing you too Ray. I ended up catching the limit on Friday afternoon, but as you expressed the bite was tough. The bite was much better on Saturday, though pleasure boat traffic was about as bad as I’ve ever seen it. Glad you and the guys had a enjoyable time, and I agree with your comments 100%! If I’m going to have a bad day, I want it to be on Santee Cooper. The lakes have so much to offer other than the great fishing.
