Mo'Money nailed it on the head! Mine isnt an early 2000's but a 2012. It fishes like a barge, I fished in a 15-20 mph wind at D'Arbonne and had no rod bounce except when a boat went by!

Theres a 2007 19' Triton with a 90 Optimax, new chairs, new Minnkota Terrova 80# w spotlock and hand held remote, Helix 9 up front. Solid as a rock. Wide and stable. Its for sale for $15,500, a friend told me. They saw her at Enid Lakeside Grocery last week.

i fish out of an 18ft express and it gets the job done but what everybody else says is very true. glass is better. my boat is too light on the bow for spider rigging in much chop. im a fan of the newer nitros they have a huge bow and set pretty low in the water. skeeter is a great boat as well. when i do upgrade it will be 20' at minimum
Triton. TA196.
Only production glass boat designed specifically for spider rigging by crappie fishermen. Everything else is settling..............
IMHO only. Others may disagree, but having seats and rod holders attached at the BOTTOM of boat instead of 2 feet above water line on top of the deck makes all the difference when waves/wakes make other boats rock and roll.......
The higher a point is above center of roll, the more pitch will be observed. Thin of the difference in below decks on a sail boat and the top of the mast..........OR a deer stand in the wind, bottom rung barely registers the sway of the tree, but up at the top of the stand you may sway 2 feet in both directions.

I pass on this one!
Though my 97 Ranger 397 xt fish and ski doesn't have much forward room,,, it's plenty big enough for me at 19.5 ft long and almost 90" wide,,,,,and it handles waves just fine when fishing....rear deck has plenty room for fishing there... I just like it up front with my Mega and spider rig setup..
I have a 2018 Ranger RT 178, works very nice. Wish I would have got the RT 178 C. It has pedestal holes for 2 seats up front instead of using EZT Pole side by side seat mount
