fifty years ago a friend and i drug a boat down a 100 foot rocky dam to the spillway on a small lake and the only fish that was caught was by a snake that swam by.

HAVE A CRAPPIE DAY:D
Took the Scouts to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, and of course, the kid that could care less about fishing caught the biggest fish. A 3 1/2 foot long Northern Pike. He was in my canoe that day, so, it is a lasting memory. I know it's not a Crappie, but we did catch and eat a lot of Crappie that week.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
While fishing a shiner under a large red/white plastic bobber, for bass, I had 2ft. alligator take an interest in my bobber. Having a very active wild shiner, as my bait, he was giving the bobber it’s own enticing action whether I moved it or not. Appearing that he wasn’t going lose interest in it, I decided to ease it towards the boat in hopes of saving my float. As I would move it the shiner would bounce it even more so. By now the gator was so close to it the next time it moved he chomped it and provided me with a red/white “puzzle-piece” style former bobber.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
Does not get any better.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a retirement plan...FISHING!
