fisher, what size LS do you have,i have 9 and hard to follow them, may be these old eyes, also is the 12 inch with more pristel show better pic?
Thank you for your response! I'm having a hard time controlling the boat with the wind for one thing, I was curious as to the ratio...no one posts video of not catching fish LOL. It's a different style of fishing then I am used to to a point. I think since I can now see exactly their position instead of an area of maybe 10 or 15 ft radius I lose patience that I would normally have and might be giving up on a particular fish to soon

I have the 9 inch and have no problems seeing fish. You may have your range set too far. Take your unit off auto range, try setting your distance at 30 feet and depth at 15 feet. I have found that this is the ideal distance and depth for me to be able to discern the size of fish. Whatever depth and distance you end up choosing, if you keep your unit set at those same settings, after a few days on the water you will usually be able to tell instantly which fish are worth fishing for. When I was constantly changing depth and distance I found it difficult to accurately judge fish size. I still push it out to 60 feet to find structure and areas that have fish but once I start to cast to fish I drop back to 30'/15'.

You are really going to enjoy it. Not too many reports from Grand, let me know how you do please. I have been thinking about heading up your way, and trying LS on your fish. Main lake has not been to good to me thru the years, it would be nice to get some success. I suspect with LS a someone might be able to find a pattern that can get them onto some truly big fish out of that lake.
Give me a shout fishers. I’m retired and would love a guide trip on using the LS. I’m on the south end and have a ramp on site👍🏼Nice black crappie have made a comeback

Since I got and installed the livescope I have been on the water 3 times. It really frustrates me when I see fish, they come look at the bait, (different size, colors, and kinds of Jigs and/or minnows) then just look at it or back off. I've even tried fish attractant on the jigs. Now I know why I've had trouble sometimes catching fish before the LS. Yesterday I found a big school of fish around a bridge Piling and put a jig down and bam! got one right off. For the rest of the day, nothing! I tried all combinations and even tried 3 different places and they just would not bite.
Any ideas? Must just be me I think.
