I like that with the rubber legs. Maybe if the 3 strands to a leg were weaved together to make a single strand? I think maybe them separating is what’s throwing it off. Or just use 3 strands? Good stuff though. I started using yarn for my legs and that idea didn’t work at all....lol. Fuzzy legs all over the place.

I tried to weave them that didn’t work then I tried just one strand and it was to small. Thought about trying to tie them with thread. I don’t know. It was my first time trying to weave the chenille.

Weaving can be tricky and play with your mind some. I’m still learning as well. I have to go really slow and I still mess up. Fly anglers online has the weaves in advanced lessons. Also I watched videos from YouTube as well.

FAOL best place to learn and also will lear a lot more about lots of things you will not find in videos for jig tying! The language about materials and other things and they have a huge tips page!

This is the place I learned some 15 years ago. Same place SuperDave is talking about.

just click on fly tying, then Beginning tying, then intermediate and finally advanced and that is where the weaving is.

Nice, those jigs with eyes really add pop! Did you Weave or add flash to the body?
