Cant go wrong with a pfluger. And I love the Shakespeare UL. That's one of my go-to rods...I dont have any issues with 1/16 oz jigs and I use a 5'6"..i believe you'll be happy with your choices
Solid choice of equipment!
Pflueger makes some good reels, I have a Trion #10 and a #6 underspins and they are well built and have always worked flawlessly.
I like the rod and reel, and have nano on a few of my reels, one with the 4lb you speak of. I just want you to know that it has little, if any, abrasion resistance and I have to use a 4lb mono leader to keep the crappie teeth from rubbing through. Also us it in 2lb, also with a 4lb leader, and find nothing to compare with it’s casting, making it worth using the leader.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
lol, i have spent a shameful amount of money on spinning reels over the last five years, i wont even begin to talk about but i have a trion that i repeatedly go to on my crappie fishing and it is still one of the smoothest reels i own. ive had it longer than any of the others, never had it apart, never cleaned it or greased it. Im afraid to do anything to it now . dont want to ruin it lol.Ive already decided my next reel is a trion.

also, my choice for casting and also not expensive rod, Bass Pro, micro lite rod , 8' med. lite. You can cast that 1/16oz jig a long way with 4 lb. test. I do all my crappie fishing from the shore and over the years have found this to be perfect, ( for me anyway . )
