Sounds like our little dogs have the same life jacket.

Glad the pooch was ok. Winter fishing can be a challenge. Lots of guys up here only fish in the winter, and put their boats up when it gets warm. As I have gotten older I fish less in the winter from a boat and just tool around on the banks when it is cold. Lure hunting, brushpile making and fishing creeks are just a few ways I keep busy. Keep after them, I do enjoy your reports.

Well at least you catch them most of the year. I seem to have lost all catching skill since I moved to Tn. Gonna keep trying though.
Next time bring a towel for the poochie. That way you can forget it in the car. lol

Ha ha! You’re right, I would forget it! I’m gonna figure this winter thing out! It’s now my challenge!

Now that’s a good idea! Thank you! Maybe having dogs in the boat is a jinx? Like bananas?

Backed in again, and still no float, but plenty of bubbling! Yelled to pull out again, and got off and unhooked BOTH stern straps! Took our Yorkie along for her pleasure. She fell off the bow into the 47 degree water! From all indications, it would appear that I had never been in a boat, let alone fished! I have a mental checklist for hooking up, launching, and loading. Done em all 100’s of times. Dunno where my head was, but I did check behind my back pocket!
I am so glad someone besides me does things like that from time to time.

Yeah, people talk about mistakes. I’m like, hold my Diet Mountain Dew and watch this!

Maybe it's the Diet Dew. I drink about 4 a day.
