Backed in again, and still no float, but plenty of bubbling! Yelled to pull out again, and got off and unhooked BOTH stern straps! Took our Yorkie along for her pleasure. She fell off the bow into the 47 degree water! From all indications, it would appear that I had never been in a boat, let alone fished! I have a mental checklist for hooking up, launching, and loading. Done em all 100’s of times. Dunno where my head was, but I did check behind my back pocket!
    Are we twins??? LOL

Yes! Probably only because I put it in after the last trip!

Let's hear about your Yorkie catching skills. I hear they don't do as well as labs in cold water. I bet your wife's face was like I know mine would have been ready to go home at that point.

Get this, she had on a life jacket! She hit the water and I immediately reached down and grabbed the handle on her life jacket and had her back before she could swim 2 strokes! From a deep V! She thanked me by shaking that 47 degree water all over me! Then, my wife wrapped her in MY coat! I should’ve left right then!

Funny story! We've all been there! I'm approaching 50 and I get where I can't remember squat.
