had today off and made it to the Marina about 2:30 until almost dark, 2 bites on pink "glo" and bass minnows about 12" off the bottom.
800 English long bowmen vs 4000 French knights should not have been a major battle but the terrain savvy English commander chose to pick an open horseshoe shaped swampy depression on the edge of a forest with a slight hill behind it. just before the battle the skies opened up and torrential rain fell but the French King recklessly ordered the attack to go forward regardless. 3500 brave but foolish French nobility perished and almost all the remainder were captured after becoming literally trapped by their own suits of armor...

Was able to fish the last 2 days (Thursday and Friday)...it's not often that you get to enjoy high 50's in December. It's also rare to do good in the lake.
Thursday was sunny...they were hitting the New 3" Keitech Shad color Easy Shiner.
Friday was cloudy and Chartreuse and White 3" Easy Shiner was the ticket.
Techniques were identical...heave out to deep water, lift off bottom, twitch, reel slack, repeat! Shad are stressed with quick water temp changes.
Caught two 14" Gators and 20 nice Crappie on Thursday...the 20 Crsppie are getting fried today.
On Friday I caught two 17" Gators and 15 nice Crappie...all in a couple hours...they went back in the lake.
When the wind turned from West to the North at 4pm yesterday, the bite died...no bites the last hour!
