This is what was pushing bait up and the gulls would flock to them along with all the other loons scooting across the lake to them. Those rascals can really move fast. The cormorants we saw were on a rock sticking up out of the water.

The commorants sitting on the rock were the only indication of a dangerous navigational hazard. I couldn't believe there was not a hazard marker on that rock pile. It was barely out of the water and would be invisible if the lake came up a bit. Really tear the bottom out of a boat or the foot off an outboard. Only time I've been glad to see a Commorant.

The water was up about 5' from last week so those rocks were underwater today. DNR should mark that spot for sure.
