Beware of the monsters that lurk on Eufaula. My son came across this timber rattler swimming across the cove by the house last Saturday.
If you just have to fish Eufaula, go up Gains creek or other creeks in winter. I quit fishing the main lake in winter years ago, there are much better lakes to fish in winter. Kaw, Oologah, Skyatook, Keystone, Tenkiller (at least it used to be, Check with Redge). If it isn't too cold still, start fishing the creeks and creek entrances in February.

Ditto the comments about that critter in the water.
The winds were high today but caught a few.

Hey guys, it's been awhile. Now that summer is over and the water is too cold for swimming/floating, it's time to prepare for winter fishing at our dock. I need to change out the cedars hanging below our dock in preparation. Looking forward to hearing about everyone's fishing results this winter.

Posts are a little slow right now. Maybe deer season has everyone in the woods instead of on the water.
