I've got a Helix 7 and as Roy said the screen on the 7 is too small for SI. At least for my eyes.

I went from a Helix 5 to 2 Helix 9’s networked on the new boat and the detail you can see with SI is pretty amazing. If you are at Reelfoot when I am someday I’ll be happy to show you. The DI is pretty clear also, I saw plenty of what I assume were carp last Friday!

The 859 must have "HD" in the model name to Ethernet ... (You mentioned it was the 859 HD) ...
HELIX 7 G2N units are Ethernet capable ....
HELIX 7 (G1) and HELIX 7 G2 are not Ethernet capable ...
