Nice Jeff. Got to love those beds. I am ready to get back to building some after we get these last few tournaments out of the way.

Nice!
That was awesome. Never put any out. But I have seen some great ideas on here. Nice job
Crazy question here, but how do those work? Looks like they wouldn't be to hard to make from spare pallet parts and they cover a good area. Probably wouldn't be to bad for bass, either.
What do you put on your boat to keep it from getting all tore up
We actually buy our runners from a local sawmill and then cut them to length. We also buy bundles of various width scrap pieces from the same sawmill and rip our stakes down to desired height and thickness.
As far as how they work.... They are the most friendly structure you can fish if you are taking kids, inexperienced fishermen or even a spouse you don't want to be upset with about being hung up during your fishing excursion.
Oh and by the way they will hold fish.
If you notice in the 2nd video we have built a couple of dump beds of 2x4 and blandex and if you have a slick material to attach over the top of it then they will slide right off into your desired spot.
We use a local product that we have some scrap of that is called Alucobond. It has a slick aluminum surface on the outside layer.
You can certainly make them from pallet parts but be prepared for taking a bunch of weight to sink. Pallets are generally kiln dried wood where beds like Jeff is building and what most of use around here is green sawmill wood. Doesn't take near as much weight to sink the green wood.
They work great, easy to fish and fish love them. Only downsides to these type of beds as far as I am concerned is they are much easier for others to find with sidescan than other styles and hard to handle by yourself.
