Prayers sent, Ship. The biopsy is not that bad, even though it sounds like it. I had a PSA that started at about 6. I had two biopsies a year, and the PSA kept going up until it was 12! They finally found a cancer cell, and I had mine removed at age 65. Didn't want to go thru radiation and chemo. Like someone said previously, it's just a gauge. Keep us posted, and GOOD LUCK!

crappieseeker is right Mike. About 6 years back while on a deer stand I all of a sudden couldn't hold by urine. It was after dark and I couldn't see but I peed twice in 5 minutes. My ride picked me up and we headed to the camp. I jumped in the shower where I had to pee again. It came out blood red and I almost fainted. I hollered to the wife to pack our stuff as we were headed home which was about 4 1/2 hours. I stuffed my shorts with paper towels and headed home. By the time I got there the urges had stopped and there was very little trace of blood on my urine. I put off going to the hospital until the next day. Instead I went to my family doctor. He gave me some antibiotics and made an appointment with a specialist. He put me on more antibiotics and the problem went away for a while. My next blood test showed a PSA of 7. Time for a biopsy. They found no problem and my last PSA was 1.5. So have it checked out and we'll be praying for you that it is nothing or maybe minor. Either way keep the faith as God doesn't want you until he wants you.

Prayers sent for you. A friend/co-worker ended up having treatment for prostate cancer about a year ago. He's doing great now. I have relatives in the Birmingham & Bessemer area. Do you know any Lawleys?

Praying that the tests come back negative and everything is okay. Prostate cancer is very treatable. I am 3 years cancer free after being diagnosed with colon cancer
