Condolences to Chuck's family .....
Yep, he was a good friend .....
What a great guy Chuck was, them photos dated around 2008-2010 is one of the reasons I joined this site in 2011, to talk with & find out how to catch the Monster Slabs. And the conversation we shared outside the bait shop at the lodge (Talquin) once proved the wisdom this man held & talk about AVID, wasn't just in fishing, he was a very successful business man as well, yes this will be one of the good prayers I'll take to the Lord this morning, that is he allowed our paths to cross...RIP Chuck

Thanks Tim for the discomforting news, however, I personally can reflect on the many good times Chuck and I had on fresh and salt trips. If I'm not mistaken Chuck was responsible for getting the Florida chapter of crappie.com rolling(Slab help me). I do know that he was my source of joining after he asked me during our salt trip if I thought there would be an interest in Florida. He introduced me to Talquin and TNT and am glad that he was part of the many positive interactions that have evolved. RIP my friend.

So sorry to hear this news. I met Chuck quite a few times and in different states. Rest In Peace Chuck. You will be missed.
And Up2specks, I’m not sure about whether Chuck was the first moderator here or not. Does not ring a bell. Flycaster been the mod here as long as I can remember. But I could be wrong.

Chuck may have been instrumental in getting the Florida chapter going.
When I got involved in the Florida chapter there was no moderator, and I wanted to get a thread posted as a sticky.
Was recommended by a member moderator of the North Carolina chapter that I inquire about moderating the Florida form, which granted me the privilege of making the stickies.
I think that Chuck was instrumental in starting the Slabfests if memory serves me correctly...But we all know how my memory is!!!

Ed- Chuck was not a moderator, as John stated, Fla. was un-moderated, except by you of course. He was a catalyst in this state's origination within the C.com umbrella.
