Change the Max depth to 100 --- if it has network connection remove it and recheck

There is no visible damage to the cable. That doesn't mean there isn't something internal, meaning a pinched wire or something like that. It's still acting crazy. Reading 500+ feet in 10 feet of water. It's getting aggravating. I'm going to call H'bird tomorrow.....

When you reset to defaults, you most likely went to a different transducer in your setting. Might want to check that out. The original problem sounds like your sonar was off to me too.
