I cut out pieces of 14th wood that will fit my tackle box spaces and glued foam from in old life vest on the wood. This is perfect for storing my lures I use the most in my tackle box. I cut up old pool noodles and place them on my rod handles. Now if a rod is knocked overboard it will not sink and be lost in the water. Just an idea folks.

This might be a better photo. I sent the other from my phone. The wood and foam is removable so you can insert others if you like.

Great idea, thank you for sharing.
The best thing my dad ever gave me was his love of fishing.

Question, do you take the pool noodle off when you are fishing with that rod? Seems like it would get in the way.

Your foam idea is cool. Very quiet. Nothing rattling around. It is like a GIANT fly box.

I cast with the pool noodle on. It does not hinder the cast at all.

Do you put it on the butt or rod?
