Bear in mind that these are greatly zoomed in pics. The diamond looks even tighter with the naked eye.

Totally understand the leaning over with back problems. It is hard for someone who doesn't have, or has never back problems to understand. I learned this while in the service after having slipped on a greasy kitchen floor and coming down on the corner of a small, ( 1/2 brick high ) retainer fence, To keep water out of electric wires on a kitchen floor, on my l-4 in the small of the back. Everyone in the kitchen thought I was faking the injury after returning from three weeks in 5th General Army Hospital in Germany. They just didn't understand...I can feel for you and your pain. You are doing an outstanding job on this rod. And I am sure your friend/ fishing partner who wishes to stay in the shadows, will greatly appreciate the work and time you have put into it...Great Job...
