Today marks one year since his passing. I miss him everyday.
My dad is who started me fishing. We started in one of our farm ponds and then gradually stepped up to bigger and better. Many great memories and many fishing trips. We use to fish bass tournaments together but as I got older college and work stopped me from doing it all the time, dad continued with other partners and I always missed it but couldn’t quite find the time. We lost my dad to cancer this last August (2017) and looking back I should have done whatever it took to go more with him. Lake Lucas is where we started fishing in our first boat and where the bass in photo was caught. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for that lake and some of my best fishing memories are from there with dad. Getting into the crappie was some of the best times and what I’m looking to do again. I hope to introduce my daughters (3 yr old and 8 month old) and wife to the joys of fishing. I love you dad and miss you terribly.

While he has passed on, his presence will be alive as long you take a breath. God has a way of displaying our loved ones memories in 3D hd on the days we need them most. My dad too has passed and I do enjoy those days when the memories are walking beside me.
