Default Kayak Trip Report, Moulton New City Lake

I found a little time to finally get on the water today. Four hours before I caught my first fish, but I finally found a few on a submerged grass edge in 10 to 12 feet of water. The grass was only about 12 to 18 inches tall with a clean bottom below 12 feet. I returned a dozen Black Crappie that were 10 to 12 inches and kept a half limit of Gills and Shellcrackers. I returned several bass, many more Gills and 2 Shellcrackers that were close to 12 inches. All caught single pole with a 1/32oz slider jig bottom bouncing. The water was 87 degrees with visibility of about 24 inches.
