Finally got around to going fishing this morning but after a while I ran out of worms. Then I saw a cottonmouth snake with a frog in his mouth, and frogs are good bass bait. Knowing the snake couldn't bite me with the frog in his mouth; I grabbed him right behind the head, took the frog and put it in my bait bucket. Now the dilemma was how to release the snake without getting bit.
I grabbed my bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a little whiskey in its mouth. His eyes rolled back and he went limp. I released him into the lake without incident and carried on my fishing with the frog.

A little later, I felt a nudge on my foot. There was that same darn snake with two frogs in his mouth.

Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

I took my 5yr old bream fishing one morning. My wife is always worried something will happen and threatens my life before every trip. I always promise her we will be safe and I will keep her updated throughout the day. Back the the beautiful morning......we had pulled quite a few good sized bream off of beds before the bite died so my son started getting bored and was playing at the back of the boat in the floor. Im casting a bobber rig onto the shallows searching the beds. As I go to cast I realize Im hung up on something and look at where my hook is......yep, right in the top of my sons head. He had walked up behind me to "scare" me. He just looked up and as serious as a hook in his head, "If we tell momma she wont let me come with you anymore, thats if she doesnt kill you like she said last night". Pulled the hook out easilyn patted him on the head and asked if he wanted to go home since that happened. "Nope, we have fish to catch daddy". Thats my little fishing buddy!
