Why in the heck you wanna stray from PST rods for pulling in those lengths is beyond me? You can do two 16 and two 12 foot in either Denali or Southern Crappie T series in those length. As far as I'm concerned B'nM' makes the best puling rods and sells them in lengths of 8'. I would stick with PST's but that's just me, love my Southerns for pushing light and my Denali's for in between, but you find a better cranking rod other then a PST let me know, I will keep an eye on this thread for sure!
I am tired of breaking tips..Have broken 3 already this year...I have owned over 40 B&M rods, and think they have a great company...Just hoping there is something better..I broke two 8ft., one 12 this year
The tips on the shorter PSTs could be stronger. Broke 2 - 10 footers last year . ( hung up in gill net and was really putting to much pressure on the rods) Don't really know if the competitors short rods are any stronger though ? My 18 and 14 PSTs are bad to the bone though !!! No sign of any wear . I really like how bnm supports their product, and the crappie events .

I’m a BnM guy, but BPS makes a walleye rod that is crankbait specific. They have 8, 10, and 12’ers in it. The tips are designed to show you the wobble better, but still have a stiff backbone. I use the 8 and 12’ers.

We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.
Jamie, these MS crappie are allot tougher than those little KY cousins..Rods are right at 6 yrs. old now
You’re breaking pst tips, it’s your fault. Been using them for years and rarely break one. I’m rough on gear too. Not to mention all the folks I take who aren’t experienced.
